Cornwall enjoys some amazing theatre companies and one of the best is world famous Kneehigh. Unconventional, crazy and always worth seeing, this summer sees them pitching their Asylum tent on Carlyon Bay to perform Kneehigh’s Ubu! A Singalong Satire.  Not your usual theatre experience, this show happens all around you and no one minds if you join in. The bars are open, the music is as good as the acting and the story seems strangely current. If you are anywhere in Cornwall this summer, this is a must see event that you will not regret or forget.

Everything you need to know about Kneehigh's Asylum including dates, show details and ticket information can be found here.

Alongside a great performance you can rediscover this forgotten bay. At the back of the beach spot the remains of the Cornwall Coliseum where all the biggest bands of the 1970s and 80s performed. From The Beatles and Marianne Faithful to The Clash and The Stranglers this beach front venue was at the once at the centre of the rock world. Today the buildings have disappeared but the beach will not disappoint with half a mile of crystal white sand and clear seas.

As well as amazing theatre you will find a range of delicious food options and a funky bar right on the beach. We highly recommend pre-ordering your show food, find out more here: https://www.kneehigh.co.uk/asylum/food-and-drink-at-the-asylum/
